2018 Crossing

In August of 2018 we want to walk and pray accross all of Portland.  We want to know who will be willing to help us cover this city in prayer.  If you can help us please email me at stevec@connectionsbydesign.com.  We will organize this in the next few months.

FAN (Freedom Accelleration Nights)

The next FAN occurs on April 27 at 7 pm at Freedom Foursquare.

For Portland...

exists to encourage and create expressions of life joy in and with the city.  We want to focus on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. We will celebrate these things about and in Portland Oregon.  For Portland is a ministry of Freedom Foursquare Church, focused on a letting Christ speak to the city through His body, in the language which this city understands.

If we know the Lord loves the city but we are unwilling to demonstrate that love and the specific words of Christ to this city in a language that they can understand, then we are failing to accomplish the task for which we were called.

What does this ministry intend to do?

First, we will provide a time and place for the body in Portland to gather to discover how Holy Spirit moves in and through them. The current plan is for a meeting once a month, probably the last Friday evening of each month. This will be an environment where…

• anyone can discover his or her spiritual gifting
• it is safe to practice your spiritual gifting, you can try and if you fail you can try again. (GRACE)
• we regularly tune into heaven together and learn to do it all the time
• we invite other ministries who may be further down this road or may have something specific to offer us to come and share.

Second, actually work to engage the metron of Portland in their own language with the teaching of Jesus, the Love of the Father, and the desire of the Spirit. This city speaks the language of creativity. So we should engage them with music,poetry and painting and sculpture, with drama and dance, with photography and humor. With great food and well created things, with all the excellence that the Holy Spirit empowers us with.

Third, we are actively seeking the coming of the Kingdom into this metron. We want to become some of those whom Holy Spirit trusts to release His power and grace in our community. So that wherever we go we share the Kingdom and its influence.
